Gruff is formed of a dynamic team of architects, designers and creatives. A close-knit practice, with a wide range of experience and skills, our collective understanding of the built environment creates unique and thoughtful proposals.
Marcus studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL where he achieved a Distinction for both Design and Thesis. During his time at the Bartlett, he was awarded the Bartlett Medal and Design Realisation Prizes.
Outside of work Marcus continues Masters research interrogating the interface between video-games and architecture. Through exploring video-games use of mechanics, rules and means of interation, he argues that they are an invaluable tool to learn from in the process of creating space.
Prior to joining Gruff, Marcus has worked for Moxon Architects, Haptic Architects, Post Works Studio and as an Assistant to Smouth Allen.
Marcus joined in 2017 and is looking forward to the journey ahead.
